Child & Youth Health

Recognizing the importance of physical, developmental and mental health at all stages of a young person’s life, PCMCH is dedicated to fostering the well-being of children and youth through resources and tools that support their care.

PCMCH’s Child and Youth Committee (CYC) provides evidence-based and strategic leadership for paediatric health services in Ontario. CYC and its sub-committees that focus on specific aspects of child and youth healthcare strive to achieve an integrated and coordinated provincial system of child and youth services capable of delivering timely, equitable, accessible, high quality, evidence-based, family-centred care in an efficient and effective manner. The scope of PCMCH’s paediatric work spans the entire continuum of care from health promotion and primary care through to tertiary and quaternary services.
