The Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health (PCMCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ronald Cohn as the Chair of its Governing Council.
Dr. Cohn (pictured left) is the President and CEO of The Hospital for Sick Children and has been a member of PCMCH’s Governing Council since 2019. He is widely recognized in Ontario, nationally and internationally for his clinical and research expertise as well as his collaborative leadership style. PCMCH looks forward to working with Dr. Cohn in his new role.
PCMCH Governing Council is a volunteer leadership body that guides the organization’s work. Comprised of senior health system leaders and experts, it provides strategic direction, advises government and system partners, and supports system planning, coordination and improvement to advance equitable health outcomes for pregnant people, babies, children, youth and families in Ontario.
Dr. Cohn succeeds Bruce Squires, who recently completed his term as Governing Council Chair. PCMCH thanks Mr. Squires for his many years of dedicated leadership, which were instrumental in guiding PCMCH’s strategic direction and governance renewal, reinforcing our role as a trusted provincial advisor.
