Updated PCMCH RSV Fact Sheets for the 2026/27 Season

September 29, 2026

Since its launch in 2024, Ontario’s respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) prevention program for infants and high-risk children has expanded access to safe and effective RSV prevention options. The program strengthens protection against severe RSV illness among infants and high-risk children and supports efforts to reduce RSV-related hospitalizations.

In preparations for the 2026/27 RSV season, PCMCH has updated its RSV fact sheets in alignment with the latest Ministry of Health (MOH) guidance for Ontario’s RSV prevention program ([EN] | [FR]). The updates reflect emerging evidence on RSV prevention options and their effectiveness and lessons learned from the first two years of program implementation.

The resources below support healthcare providers, expectant parents, caregivers, families, and system partners in having informed conversations about RSV prevention and available protection options.
